Why Scholarship Test
KGS IAS is conducting the Offline Scholarship Test for UPSC Prelims Test Series 2027 to identify serious aspirants, encourage selection, and provide them with structured guidance. The test helps students assess their strengths, understand exam pressure, and build confidence, while fostering healthy competition that motivates candidates to perform better in the actual examination.
Process of Scholarship Test
The selection process for the selection of suitable candidates consists of two papers
Paper: 1 General Studies
• The Total number of questions will be 100.
• Paper 1 will consist of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 200 marks.
• Duration of this paper is 2 hours.
• Question Paper will be in English and Hindi medium only.
• Candidates should note that there will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
• For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third (0.66) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
• If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong.
• If a question is left blank i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Paper: 2 (CSAT)
• Total Questions: The CSAT paper has 80 multiple-choice questions.
• Total Marks: The paper is of 200 marks.
• Marks per Question: Each question carries 2.5 marks.
• Qualifying Nature: It is a qualifying paper, meaning the marks don't count towards the final merit list, but you must pass it to have your Paper 1 evaluated. The minimum marks to qualify Paper-II (CSAT) will be 33%.
• Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 0.83 marks for each wrong answer.
Syllabus of the Scholarship Test 2026
Paper 1: General Studies
• Current events of national and international importance.
• History of India and Indian National Movement.
• Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
• Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
• Economic and Social Development-Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
• General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization.
• General Science.
Paper 2: CSAT
• Comprehension: Testing understanding of passages.
• Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability: Evaluating reasoning and analytical skills.
• Basic Numeracy: Fundamental mathematical concepts up to Class X.
• Data Interpretation: Interpreting data from tables, graphs, and charts.
• Interpersonal Skills & Decision Making: Testing communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Selection Process
• OMR based objective test will be conducted offline only.
• Selection can be only done through entrance examination mentioned above.
• Final decision of the selection process is always the discretionary power of the KGS IAS.
• No Answer key and Explanation of the Scholarship test will be provided to the candidates.
• Candidates must qualify in the CSAT paper for General Studies paper to be evaluated.
• All candidate selection will be based on the cut off both GS and CSAT across all KGS Centre.

स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट क्यों?
KGS IAS द्वारा UPSC प्रारंभिक परीक्षा टेस्ट सीरीज़ 2027 के लिए ऑफलाइन स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसका उद्देश्य गंभीर अभ्यर्थियों की पहचान करना, उन्हें चयन के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना तथा उन्हें संरचित मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करना है। यह टेस्ट विद्यार्थियों को अपनी क्षमताओं का आकलन करने, परीक्षा के दबाव को समझने और आत्मविश्वास विकसित करने में सहायता करता है। साथ ही, यह स्वस्थ प्रतिस्पर्धा को बढ़ावा देता है, जो अभ्यर्थियों को वास्तविक परीक्षा में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने के लिए प्रेरित करती है।
स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट की प्रक्रिया
उपयुक्त अभ्यर्थियों के चयन की प्रक्रिया में दो प्रश्नपत्र शामिल होंगे।
प्रश्नपत्र: 1 सामान्य अध्ययन (G.S.)
● कुल प्रश्नों की संख्या 100 होगी।
● प्रश्नपत्र 1 वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार (बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न) का होगा और इसमें अधिकतम 200 अंक होंगे।
● इस प्रश्नपत्र की अवधि 2 घंटे होगी।
● प्रश्नपत्र केवल अंग्रेजी और हिंदी माध्यम में होगा।
● अभ्यर्थियों को ध्यान देना चाहिए कि वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार के प्रश्नपत्रों में अभ्यर्थी द्वारा दिए गए गलत उत्तरों के लिए नकारात्मक अंकन होगा।
● प्रत्येक ऐसे प्रश्न के लिए, जिसका उत्तर अभ्यर्थी द्वारा गलत दिया गया है, उस प्रश्न के लिए निर्धारित अंकों का एक-तिहाई (0.66) दंड के रूप में काटा जाएगा।
● यदि कोई अभ्यर्थी एक से अधिक उत्तर देता है, तो इसे गलत उत्तर माना जाएगा।
● यदि कोई प्रश्न खाली छोड़ दिया जाता है, अर्थात अभ्यर्थी द्वारा कोई उत्तर नहीं दिया जाता है, तो उस प्रश्न के लिए कोई दंड नहीं होगा।
प्रश्नपत्र: 2 (CSAT)
● कुल प्रश्न: CSAT प्रश्नपत्र में 80 बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न होंगे।
● कुल अंक: प्रश्नपत्र 200 अंकों का होगा।
● प्रति प्रश्न अंक: प्रत्येक प्रश्न 2.5 अंकों का होगा।
● अर्हकारी प्रकृति: यह एक अर्हकारी प्रश्नपत्र है, अर्थात इसके अंक अंतिम मेरिट सूची में शामिल नहीं होंगे, लेकिन पेपर 1 के मूल्यांकन के लिए इसे उत्तीर्ण करना आवश्यक होगा। प्रश्नपत्र-II (CSAT) में अर्हता प्राप्त करने के लिए न्यूनतम अंक 33% होंगे।
● नकारात्मक अंकन: प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के लिए 0.83 अंक का नकारात्मक अंकन होगा।
स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट 2026 का पाठ्यक्रम
प्रश्नपत्र 1: सामान्य अध्ययन
● राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महत्त्व की समसामयिक घटनाएँ।
● भारत का इतिहास और भारतीय राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन।
● भारतीय एवं विश्व भूगोल - भारत और विश्व का भौतिक, सामाजिक एवं आर्थिक भूगोल।
● भारतीय राजव्यवस्था और शासन - संविधान, राजनीतिक व्यवस्था, पंचायती राज, सार्वजनिक नीति, अधिकार संबंधी मुद्दे आदि।
● आर्थिक और सामाजिक विकास - सतत विकास, गरीबी, समावेशन, जनसांख्यिकी, सामाजिक क्षेत्र की पहल आदि।
● पर्यावरणीय पारिस्थितिकी, जैव-विविधता और जलवायु परिवर्तन से संबंधित सामान्य मुद्दे, जिनके लिए विषय में विशेषज्ञता आवश्यक नहीं है।
● सामान्य विज्ञान।
प्रश्नपत्र 2: CSAT
● बोधगम्यता: गद्यांशों को समझने की क्षमता का परीक्षण।
● तार्किक एवं विश्लेषणात्मक क्षमता: तर्क एवं विश्लेषणात्मक कौशल का मूल्यांकन।
● मूल संख्यात्मक योग्यता: कक्षा X तक की मूलभूत गणितीय अवधारणाएँ।
● आँकड़ा निर्वचन: सारणियों, ग्राफ और चार्ट से प्राप्त आँकड़ों का निर्वचन।
● अंतरवैयक्तिक कौशल एवं निर्णय-निर्माण: संचार, निर्णय-निर्माण और समस्या-समाधान की क्षमताओं का परीक्षण।
चयन प्रक्रिया
● OMR आधारित वस्तुनिष्ठ परीक्षा केवल ऑफलाइन आयोजित की जाएगी।
● चयन केवल ऊपर उल्लिखित प्रवेश परीक्षा के माध्यम से ही किया जाएगा।
● चयन प्रक्रिया का अंतिम निर्णय सदैव KGS IAS के विवेकाधिकार पर निर्भर होगा।
● स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट की कोई उत्तर कुंजी या व्याख्या अभ्यर्थियों को प्रदान नहीं की जाएगी।
● सामान्य अध्ययन के प्रश्नपत्र का मूल्यांकन करने के लिए अभ्यर्थियों को CSAT प्रश्नपत्र में अर्हता प्राप्त करना अनिवार्य होगा।
● सभी अभ्यर्थियों का चयन सभी KGS केंद्रों पर GS और CSAT, दोनों के कटऑफ के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
स्कॉलरशिप टेस्ट के लाभ
● प्रथम 25 विद्यार्थियों के लिए: प्रारंभिक परीक्षा टेस्ट सीरीज़ पर 100% शुल्क छूट।
● अगले 25 विद्यार्थियों के लिए: प्रारंभिक परीक्षा टेस्ट सीरीज़ पर 50% शुल्क छूट।
