U.S. Supreme Court halts Trump's sweeping tariffs

The U.S. Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump's farreaching global tariffs on Friday, handing him a significant loss on an issue crucial to his economic agenda.

The 6-3 decision centres on tariffs imposed under an emergency powers law, including the sweeping "reciprocal" tariffs he levied on nearly every other country, such as India.

Net FDI into India negative for fourth straight month

Net foreign direct investment (FDI) rethe fourth consecutive mained negative for month in December 2025, coming in at -$1.6 billion, due to repatriation by foreign companies in India and outward investments by Indian companies exceeding the amount of direct investment entering the country, an analysis of the latest data from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) show.
