Russian oil deliveries at Indian ports for the first half of September were robust, and slightly higher than the past couple of months, suggesting that the growing US rhetoric in July against New Delhi's hefty oil imports from Moscow did not have any meaningful impact on Indian refiners' crude sourcing behaviour at the time. Crude loadings at Russian ports so far in September, although slightly lower than pre-August levels, are also evidently stable even as the situation remains fluid, according to preliminary tanker data and industry insiders.

GST 2.0: Re-labelling of drugs, medical devices not mandatory for stocks issued before Sept 22

Manufacturers and marketing companies selling drugs, formulations including medical devices are required to revise the maximum retail price (MRP) and issue revised price lists to dealers and retailers for display to consumers to bring into effect the rate cuts under GST 2.0, but recalling, relabelling, or re-stickering is not mandatory for the stocks released in the market prior to the implementation date of September 22, the Ministry of Finance said in a second set of FAQs on GST re-leased Tuesday.

Even as the stage is set for a UNESCO team to visit Sarnath soon, after the Buddhist site near Varanasi was nominated by India for the World Heritage List, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is preparing to install a "corrected" plaque at the location to credit the family of an erstwhile local ruler for its preservation -instead of the British, The Indian Express has learnt.

As of Monday, only some 40,000 of the about 23.94 lakh employees under NPS had opted for UPS, according to sources in the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare.

The Centre on Tuesday said the Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) have increased engagement with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with the intent of addressing their "concerns" about the implementation of Quality Control Orders (QCOs). The department said it is planning to conduct regional conferences to interact and engage with MSMEs.
