Axiom launch scheduled for June 19, says Minister

The Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), which is set to carry Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and three others to the International Space Station (ISS), is scheduled to take off on June 19 "as of now", Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said at a press conference here on Sunday.

DNA profiling identifies 86 victims of Al crash; cockpit voice recorder retrieved

Authorities at the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital have identified 86 victims of the Air India flight AI-171 crash through DNA profiling, Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi said on Sunday, while official added that 33 bodies were already handed over to grieving families.

India has dropped two points from its position last year in the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Index report, holding at 131 out of 148 countries. The parity score is just 64.1%, making it among one of the lowest-ranked countries in South Asia, according to the report released last week.

The recently released report card on Rajasthan's Cash Plus model - India's first State-led pilot project to converge Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) with Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) for improving maternal and child nutrition - indicates a 49% rise in early breastfeeding (now reaching 90% of newborns), 44% of women being more receptive to home-based counselling, 49% improvement in dietary diversity among pregnant women, and 54% more women using cash specifically for nutrition.
